As a Moneybase user you may transfer money instantly to other Moneybase users free of charge. If you encounter an issue, it is probably due to one of the following reasons:

Unverified account

The recipient’s account may still be undergoing the on-boarding process or it may be be locked or restricted due to a pending request for clarification. Do not worry this should only take a day or two at most.

Privacy Settings

Your Person to Person (P2P) payment functionality may be switched off. To enable, please go to Settings on your Moneybase app, click on Privacy Settings and enable Everyone or My Contacts Only depending on your preference.

Ask the recipient to check the (P2P) Privacy setting. It should be either “My contacts only” or “Everyone”. If the user has disabled P2P transfers from the privacy settings, you will not be able to send him a payment. Ask for the user’s IBAN instead and add him as a beneficiary to do a bank transfer.

Saved Contacts

Check the number that is entered correctly in your phone book. Ensure it starts with the country code (ex. +356) and is correctly formatted. You should try to call your recipient from the phone book to ensure that it is correct. and make sure that s/he has your number in their own phone book.

Device Permission

Make sure both you and the recipient has allowed the Moneybase app to access the device phone book. You can do this by checking the permissions allowed for the app from the device.

Insufficient funds

If you do not hold sufficient funds to complete a transfer, you will not be able to complete the transaction. If that's the case, you should 'Add money' to your account or decrease the value of the transfer you are attempting to make and try again.
